What to Enter in Your Cart
Before checkout, enter each foot's length and usual shoe size in the Order notes box in your cart. Label Left and Right, use cm or inches consistently, and state the sizing system (US Men's, US Women's, EU, etc.). Your usual brand/style is helpful; width is optional unless requested.
Example:
Left: 25.0 cm; usual size US Men's 7
Right: 25.5 cm; usual size US Men's 7.5
For a same-size pair, you may enter the same usual shoe size, but always measure and enter each foot's actual length separately. Do not copy one foot's measurement to the other.
If details are missing or unclear, we will email you within 1 business day (Monday–Friday). You may also email your order number and measurements to support@diliks.com. Preparation waits until required details are complete. See How It Works.
Because Both Feet Deserve the Right Fit
It’s completely normal for one foot to be larger than the other.
A small difference can sometimes be managed by adjusting the laces or using an insole. But when your feet differ more noticeably, a standard same-size pair may leave one foot feeling cramped while the other slips.
DILIKS helps customers get one pair of shoes matched to the sizing needs of both feet.
For the best sizing assessment, measure each foot separately and provide accurate information when placing your order.
What You’ll Need
Before measuring, gather:
-
Two sheets of paper large enough for your feet
-
A pen or pencil
-
A ruler or measuring tape
-
The socks you plan to wear with the shoes
If possible, ask someone to help trace your feet.
For the most accurate results, measure your feet in the afternoon or evening. Feet may expand during the day, so later measurements can better reflect your everyday fit.
How to Measure Your Feet
1. Put On Your Usual Socks
Wear the type of socks you plan to use with the shoes.
For example, wear athletic socks for running shoes and your usual everyday socks for casual footwear.
2. Stand Naturally
Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall.
Stand on the paper with your heel lightly touching the wall. Keep your full weight on the foot being measured and stand naturally.
Measuring while seated may produce a shorter measurement.
3. Mark the Longest Point
Mark the end of your longest toe. This may be your big toe or your second toe.
You may also trace around your entire foot while keeping the pen upright.
4. Measure the Foot Length
Measure the straight-line distance from the back of your heel to the mark at your longest toe.
Record the measurement in either centimeters (cm) or inches. Use the same unit for both feet and label it clearly.
Do not add extra length unless instructed.
5. Optional: Measure the Foot Width
Measure across the widest part of the foot, usually around the ball of the foot.
Width is optional unless we request it for your selected style. If provided, record it separately for each foot.
6. Measure Both Feet Separately
Do not assume your feet are the same size.
Record each measurement clearly:
-
Left-foot length: ______ cm
-
Left-foot width: ______ cm
-
Right-foot length: ______ cm
-
Right-foot width: ______ cm
Double-check that the left and right measurements have not been reversed.
7. Measure Again
Measure each foot at least twice.
If the results differ, repeat the measurement and use the most consistent accurate result.
Checking the Supported Range
Check each foot against the supported foot-length range on the product page. The range is an initial guide, not a guarantee of fit or availability. If either foot is near a limit or outside the range, contact us before ordering. A detailed size chart, where provided, is a reference; you do not need to determine the final shoe sizes yourself.
Your measurements are an important starting point, but shoe sizing can vary by:
-
Brand
-
Style
-
Width
-
Toe-box shape
-
Materials
-
Construction
-
Intended use
DILIKS may also review your usual shoe size, current footwear brand, and other fit information when determining an appropriate size combination.
If one foot falls between two sizes, do not automatically size up or down without considering the product-specific fit notes.
Submit the measurements for both feet and include relevant information about:
-
Foot width
-
Instep height
-
Sock thickness
-
Swelling
-
Current shoe brand and size
-
Preferred fit
-
Any recurring pressure or heel-slipping issues
We will contact you before proceeding if information is insufficient or a proposed combination materially differs from your stated requirements.
Your usual sizes are references. The final labeled sizes matched by DILIKS may differ because sizing varies between brands and styles.
Size guidance can improve the sizing assessment, but it cannot guarantee an exact or perfect fit in every shoe style.
Don’t Forget About Width
Two feet with the same length can still require different fits.
Wide Feet or Bunions
Look for styles with:
-
Wide-width options
-
Flexible uppers
-
Adjustable closures
-
Roomy toe boxes
Narrow or sharply pointed styles may create unwanted pressure.
Narrow Feet or Low Instep
Lace-up shoes and styles with adjustable straps may provide a more secure fit and help reduce heel slipping.
High Instep
Consider styles with:
-
Adjustable laces
-
Adjustable straps
-
Additional room across the top of the foot
Use extra care with slip-on shoes that cannot be adjusted.
If your feet differ significantly in both length and width, contact DILIKS before placing your order.
Understanding US Shoe Widths
Width labels vary by brand, but common US width markings include:
| Category | Women’s | Men’s |
|---|---|---|
| Narrow | AA or N | B or N |
| Standard/Medium | B or M | D or M |
| Wide | D or W | 2E or W |
| Extra Wide | 2E or XW | 4E or XW |
Always check the width information and fit notes provided on the individual product page. Width standards are not identical across brands or styles.
Fit Considerations by Shoe Type
Running and Athletic Shoes
Feet may expand during exercise.
Allow enough room in the toe box for natural movement, particularly for running, long walks, or workouts.
Measure and try on athletic shoes while wearing the socks you normally use during exercise.
Casual Shoes
Look for a comfortable fit without pinching or excessive heel slipping.
Lace-up styles generally provide more adjustability than slip-on shoes.
Sandals
Your toes and heel should remain within the edges of the footbed.
Straps should feel secure without digging into your skin.
Boots
Consider:
-
Sock thickness
-
Toe-box space
-
Instep height
-
Heel movement
-
Shaft fit
Measure and try on boots with the socks you expect to wear most often.
How to Check the Fit
When your order arrives, try the shoes on indoors on a clean, hard surface.
A comfortable fit should generally provide:
-
Enough room for your toes to move naturally
-
Comfortable space in front of the longest toe
-
No painful pinching across the ball of the foot
-
A secure heel with minimal slipping
-
No uncomfortable pressure under the arch
-
No excessive pressure across the instep
-
Comfortable support for each foot independently
Walk around indoors for several minutes. Try standing, turning, and walking normally.
Toe pressure, numbness, painful rubbing, excessive heel movement, or strong pressure on one side may indicate that the size or shoe shape is not suitable for that foot.
Do not wear the shoes outdoors while evaluating the initial fit.
Do not choose a clearly undersized shoe based on the assumption that it will eventually stretch.
